Jaybird Run Wireless Headphones Review – Wireless Beats
The Jaybird Run Wireless Headphones is crafted with fitness and exercise in mind, so it’s perfect for fitness buffs and enthusiasts who enjoy working out while listening to their favourite songs. It was made to be water-resistant and sweat-proof so you won’t have to worry about the device getting damaged if it ever gets wet. The company states that they’ve utilised a special feature called the double-hydrophobic nano coat which is effective when it comes to dealing with sweat – something that is tougher on gadgets and devices compared to water.
Run’s earbuds are mostly made of plastic but Jaybird ensures to add a few accents around the rim, as well as a logo that is made out of stainless steel. It not only makes the product look classy and eye-catching, but it actually works as the device’s antenna; to get a better signal for Bluetooth, Jaybird wrapped the antenna around the bud’s exterior which is actually a smart work-around when it comes to bad signal.
As for the charging case, it features three little LED lights on the front portion to notify you of the battery’s status of the case and of the right and left earbuds as well. Jaybird provides you with four varying sets of silicone tips: large and small rounded tip, as well as two varying oval-shaped tips. Not only that, but there are also three kinds of fin accessories and a finless one if you’re someone with really small ears. You don’t have to worry about the fit of the headphones since the varying tips will work for any ear-size; this is something that we really appreciated so we’re giving Jaybird’s Run a thumbs-up when it comes to this.

How it Performs
Once you open the case of the Run Wireless Headphones, it will enter the pairing mode and each time after this, you’ll only need to open the case to connect your headphones and you’re good to go. We think this is really an amazing feature since you usually need to put the headphones on before going through the Bluetooth settings for connectivity; but with the Run from Jaybird, it’ll take care of everything for you. If you want to re-pair it with another device, you will just need to press down on a specific button located on the right earbud for six seconds. But if you’re only going to utilize Run with just one device, then opening the case is the only thing you’ll need to do to automatically connect the headphones.
If you think that the sounds produced by Run is just fair enough, think again; after we’ve tried the sound quality of these Bluetooth earbuds, we can’t deny that it produced clear and amazing sounds that were clean and crisp. Another great thing about the headphones is that you can equalize the sounds based on your preference and it also has presets which makes things all better.
Another great feature of the Run is that it has an integrated mic located in the right earbud; we actually tried it out for calls and we didn’t find any issues with this. The left earbud also features a mic that brings in a bit of your surrounding’s noise so you don’t need to really shout when speaking.
When it comes to the battery life, the Jaybird Run has a battery that lasts for four hours of continuous music playback. We tried listening to music with the volume on max and we were able to get a total of three hours and forty-five minutes which is almost close to four hours so that’s pretty good. The device also features a charging case which provides you with an additional two charges just in case you need this; though the real highlight here is the fact that it can charge really fast from zero. You just need to have a five-minute charge and you’ll have an hour of good battery life for listening.
How to Use
With the Jaybird app, you can easily manage the bass or increase the treble depending on your listening preferences; also, it features Find My Buds which is something that will help you find your headphones just in case you misplace these. If you’re into a lot of customisation when it comes to your audio, you’ll find that Jaybird’s mobile application is very useful for tweaking the headphones’ sound profile.
By default, it’s quite flat which is something common in almost all headphones available, but Jaybird provides you with numerous options such as Bring the Bass which actually boosts and improves the low end; if you want to decrease the high notes, you can choose the Extended Listening option instead. The application can change the sounds of Run at a firmware level, so any changes that you will apply will work, no matter what it is that you’re listening to. If you’re having trouble searching for exercise music and the like, the app features a curated collection of playlists from Spotify.
The Jaybird Run Wireless Headphones is something that you’d expect from a great company that has been providing quality wireless headphones for years. It doesn’t only come in a cool and stylish Drift Silver shade, but it’s also comfortable and great for continuous music playback.
It’s slightly more pricey compared to your regular headphones but it’s definitely worth the price especially when it comes to quality, excellent sounds, and the product being water / sweat-resistant. So if you’re a fitness enthusiast who enjoys working out or going on fun adventures while listening to music, then we definitely recommend the Jaybird Run Wireless Headphones.
